- These two are high by a factor of two. ISA requires two
- clocks per transfer, so while the clock rate is 8 MHz, there
- are only four million transfers per second. At 8 bits,
- that's 4 MB/s; at 16 bits, 8 MB/s.

- a small fraction of the ISA bus' bandwidth.
